Everyone deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and take care of their health.
Our story
HB Foundation began with an opportunity to serve the community.
When Coach David “Heebomb” Park moved to Hawaiʻi in 2020, an invitation from the senior pastor of Mānoa Valley Church to develop a community outreach program gave his coaching experience a new purpose.
The belief behind that work was simple: learning how to care for your health should be accessible to everyone, regardless of financial circumstances.
That opportunity grew into FIT4LIFE and, eventually, HB Foundation. Today, through adult and youth programs, we bring training, education, and community together to help people build confidence, develop their abilities, and pursue progress.
Education is central to our approach. We want people to understand what they’re doing and why, so they can make informed decisions and take an active role in their own health and well-being.
A Foundation for Life
Our name reflects what we hope to help people build: a foundation that supports how they live.
We start with the basics—movement, nutrition, recovery, and mindset—and create opportunities to learn and grow alongside others.
In FIT4LIFE and Athlete4Life, “for life” means developing abilities and understanding that serve us beyond a training session. It means being better equipped to enjoy everyday life, meet challenges, and live with purpose.
We believe everyone is capable of progress. Our role is to provide the education, support, and environment that help people recognize that possibility—and take the next step.
Our mission
To make health education and purposeful training accessible, equipping people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to care for their well-being and pursue progress.
What we believe
Everyone deserves access.
Learning how to care for your health should not depend on how much you can afford.
Understanding builds independence.
We teach people what to do and why, so they can make informed decisions for themselves.
Everyone is capable of progress.
With guidance, encouragement, and opportunities to practice, people can discover and develop their abilities.
The basics matter.
Strong foundations in movement, nutrition, recovery, and mindset support how we feel, function, and live.
Community helps us grow.
We create an environment where people support one another, learn together, and work toward meaningful progress.
